Emerging Artist Showcase:
Nidhi Chanani’s Pashmina
October 28, 2017 - February 12, 2018

Image by and © 2017 Nidhi Chanani
In this exhibition of her heartwarming graphic novel debut, Pashmina, Nidhi Chanani weaves a tale about hardship and self-discovery born from juggling two cultures and two worlds.

For Priyanka Das, her mother's homeland can only exist in her imagination. That is, until she uncovers a mysterious pashmina in a forgotten suitcase. When she wraps herself in it, she is transported to a place more vivid and colorful than any guidebook or Bollywood film. But is this the real India? To learn the truth, Pri must travel farther than she’s ever dared and find the family she never knew.
